To Buddy Boat or Not? How it Made our Sailing Family’s Experience More Enjoyable

Hi! I’m Olivia de Soria, I’m a wife and adventuring mom of two. My husband and I have been sailing for over 10 years. From the protected waters of the ICW, to the Rio Dulce in Guatemala, we managed to sail our way through the Caribbean with two small children. My husband, Adam, and I embarked on a traveling life almost immediately after we started dating. I hopped on the back of his 750 Honda nighthawk, and we drove it all the way from Asheville, NC to the California Coast. We spent our first few years together growing and nurturing a variety of small businesses that could run themselves through remote management while we travel. And now, with our two kids, we split our time between our RV and our sailboat while we work remotely. Traveling as often as we do has transformed our “home” from a site specific place, into a state of mind. Home is wherever we are, together.
